These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SteadyBuy website, mobile app, and related services (together, the "Services"), operated by SteadyBuy ("SteadyBuy", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
SteadyBuy is a community-driven marketplace that helps customers discover local businesses, helps local businesses reach new customers, and lets affiliates and creators earn rewards by recommending businesses they trust. SteadyBuy is a platform connecting these parties; unless stated otherwise, SteadyBuy is not itself the seller of goods or provider of services listed by local businesses.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or participate in the affiliate/creator programme. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms, including on behalf of any business you list.
If you list a business on SteadyBuy, you are responsible for the accuracy of your listing (including pricing, availability, and descriptions), for fulfilling orders or bookings made through the Services, and for complying with all applicable consumer-protection, tax, and trading laws in the markets where you operate. SteadyBuy may review, decline, or remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Prices for products and services are set by the local businesses offering them, and shown at checkout. SteadyBuy may charge service fees to businesses, customers, or affiliates, which will be disclosed before you incur them. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and use of those providers may be subject to their own terms.
When using the Services, you agree not to:
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as reviews, photos, or listing descriptions). By submitting content, you grant SteadyBuy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Services. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you submit.
The Services, including the SteadyBuy name, logo, design, and underlying software, are owned by SteadyBuy or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.
SteadyBuy connects you with independent local businesses. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of products or services offered by businesses listed on the platform. Any dispute regarding a purchase is between you and the relevant business, though we may assist in good faith where appropriate.
We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any business listing, review, or referral outcome will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SteadyBuy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) a nominal amount as required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SteadyBuy, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, your business listing, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, or created risk or legal exposure for SteadyBuy or other users. You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
Where you access the Services from the United Kingdom, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Where you access the Services from Nigeria, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts. This does not remove any consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Services before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
